SUPER SUNDAY HOT WINGS

My recipe for Super Sunday Hot Wings:

10-`15 frozen wings thawed in the microwave for 4 minutes. One cup of hot sauce. Pour hot sauce over the wings and brush on thoroughly on both sides of the wings. Salt and pepper for taste then broil wings for 10 minutes then turn them and broil for 5 minutes until wings are well cooked and crisp. Let sit for 10 minutes to cool then serve. That’s my dinner tonight. My 2 cats love chicken and I will cook two wings for them without hot sauce. Unless you overcook and burn the wings, they will turn out great for the big game.

SUNDAY MORNING THINKING

Thoughts on a Sunday morning are generally reverent and focused on family and spiritual respect for Sabbath. I was taught very young that God lived in a church and people sang to him in choirs and women wore Sunday hats and children and parents had to kneel during prayers from the priest at the altar. All the religious rituals we were taught to perform and obey created a cult Christian mentality. Today I understand what I became and later abandoned to regain my own self-knowledge and experience to understand the Oneness of God and his creation. God lives in all of his creations, not in a church or one religion.

I cried this morning when I heard and saw the devastation the earthquakes caused in Syria and Turkey recently, and the estimated 16,000 victims many still unfound in the rubble of their homes. The sudden shock of seeing and hearing this horrible news made me realize how we are all soul connected to the surviving families and the souls of the victims of this catastrophic event.

I have been a Liberal most of my life. I believe in a socially caring and beneficial government. I believe all rights should be granted to people from all races and genders. Being a Liberal in Love evokes the most generous devotion to the one I love. Love is so elusive, you can catch it for a minute or so like holding a wild dove in your hands until it flies away. There are many forms of love and attractions to it. It can be joyful one day and hurtful the next. Love is the magical force behind romantic relationships, families, and great friendships but it also can cause pain, confusion, and depression. I can’t decide if I want to pursue loving someone or take it easy, lay back, and let it come naturally. I feel driven to just let it happen and enjoy the great beauty and joy it can be and ignore or ward off any possible pain, confusion, or negativity it can cause. Love has tested me many times but like an addiction, I still have a weakness for it.

COMING OUT OF A COLD SPELL

The last two days New England and a great part of the country endured a massive cold spell with two days of temperatures well below zero and bitter strong winds bringing the windchill factor to – 25 below zero. Today the sun dawned bright and the skies were blue, the temperature was in the mid-40s. Nature apologized to New England today for its bad temper.

THE SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE

I always enjoyed dancing as a child, teenager, and adult. My first big public dance was at the VFW Legion’s gymnasium in my hometown. I had to be 16 to get into the dance. Hundreds of young men and women attended mostly all were single and under 25. We danced to live bands that played Rock and Roll and slow waltzes. The BEE GEES slow songs were bands’ and dancers’ favorite waltzes. Many of the Saturday Night Dances ended in a brawl outside between guys who women didn’t dance with and guys who they did dance with. I lived in a border town where Canadians often came to the dance. There was always a fight between Canadians and Americans over women, especially Canadian women. I was in several of them but I didn’t have to fight alone we had our posse as they did. Saturday Night dances were all fun and frolic and fights. I miss them.

REMEMBERING

I was remembering my memories recently and the few that made the grade of Greatest. My first greatest memory was the day I was born. The reason for the highest rating was all the documented history of pictures taken of me in my parents’ and grandparents’ arms as photographic proof of my birth. The second greatest memory is my first passionate kiss. My third greatest memory is where that first passionate kiss led me. The fourth greatest memory is the day I met my Twin Flame, (not so long ago). I remember her eyes sparkled like onyx shining in the sunlight, her beauty overwhelmed me and her genuine warmth and humor were priceless. My memory of her lingers always.

I need to make some major decisions today that could change my life. I am not worried about minor things like what to wear or where to go but, about major things like Love, Money, and Business. These all take my constant attention but the one thought I must make go away today is Love. It is too all-consuming and must be put to rest for a while like a child with kindness and concern. I will attend to it later when I have more time to invest in an all-consuming love relationship. Now I have prioritized my thoughts for today and will return to Love later once it has rested.

LOST IN DESIRES

I have too many desires too many goals, visions, and interests. Before the internet and personal PCs were invented, I spent hours reading different books on philosophy, poetry, spirituality, good fiction, and non-fiction. I had a goal of reading 150 books per year. I desired to be a famous writer, poet, and musician I played piano and guitar and wrote songs and even a concerto. I wrote and recorded a piano concerto on tape and gave a copy to my college music professor who was impressed enough to ask if I would like to give a concert at the college to play it and other songs I wrote. The music department had just bought a new $10,000 dollar Yamaha grand piano. I performed the concert for several hundred students and faculty. I received great applause from all. That was in 1974, I was 21 years old. I’m not bragging only remembering how many goals and desires I have fulfilled or failed to over so many years. I still dream of fulfilling many goals and desires, this website is one of my continual visions.
