I attended a funeral mass today for an old friend who passed away last week. He was 80 years old. His illness was sudden since I saw him on Memorial Day at the town green during a major protest on “NO KINGS DAY” he was in good spirit then. I took a picture of him and his wife smiling with their big protest sign.
Their were over 200 people at his funeral mass. We overflowed into the outer lobby standing as we watched and listened to the service. He was buried today in the town cemetary, where hundreds of friends and family members attended the final ceremony. He was well known, respected and well liked man. We were friends for over 20 years and often met at different engagements. He was a Good Man who I had the priviledge of knowing for so many years. He will be greatly missed by the community, his family and his many friends.
