Welcome all my After Midnight Friends. The moon is full and bright white tonight. It inspires me as an assurance of a good day ahead. Saturday’s are my favorite day of the week and have been since I was a young child. It was playday for me and my brothers as we joined with our neigborhood friends all our ages. Our next door neighbors had 14 children ages 2 to 17. Every Saturday we would gather and play war in the big field adjacent to our homes. It had rasberry bushes, trees, wild tall grasses that made great hiding places to shoot our enemies. I remember most of us got caught up in the fray arguing who was alive or dead. “Your dead” No Your dead!” Then we would shoot each other with our toy guns and move on to the next kid defiantly standing. Kid games mock real life. Some Saturday’s several of us older kids would have wrestling matches. They all ended with handshakes and the best man won but we all fought hard to win. Why I Am remembering all this at this odd hour of the night must have something to do with the Full Moon tonight. If not it was fun to remember.
