As I sat at my desk to write this post my dear darling 19 year old cat jumped in my lap to join me and inspire this post. She loves attention and joins zoom meetings. Her name in Pinky and she is a pretty gray and white long haired cat. She was a year old in 2007 when Leila and I first adopted her. She has been a wonderful pet for all those years. She cried for several months when Leila passed away but thankfully she adapted to her life without her as did I. Cat owners and cats are very close. Cats show remarkable affection and seem to intuit everything you are thinking. Having a cat companion for so many years has been a gift from Heaven . It is said that cats can be angels incarnated to aid humanity with love and beauty. The neglect of these wonderful beings is a criminal offense and should be. Tonight I wish to praise Pinky she is 92 years old in Human years and is as frisky as the day she was adopted.
