Under normal conditions this would be a dreary morning however, given the many days, weeks and months of drought I Am grateful for the rain as are many hundreds of thousands of people in Connecticut and near by states. I Am certain the thousands of firefighters in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New York states are grateful for the waters from the sky as an answer to their prayers as they fight numerous major forest fires. Today I wish all who are fighting these fires my very best and the thousands of others in other states and first responders.
Sometimes rain is a blessing and other times as in floods and hurricanes it is a curse but, life is a test of faith, hope, and couraage and all we can do is pray for ourselves, our families, and for the safety and well being of our fellow men and women. If it is raining in your drought stricken areas see it as a blessing and have faith that it will water the earth for grass and trees to grow green. Winter is near and the cold and snow and winds will be another test of endurance for the blighted areas. As all four seasons bring their beauty as in life they also bring calamity as a test of our souls’ endurance and faith in our Creator.
