i recently saw an interview with a 100 year old man who was asked what he ate that kept him healthy. He replied that his diet was very standard with the expection of Saturday nights when he eats ‘ Beans and Franks’ and has done so most of his life. I enjoyed his interview and laughed at his steadfastness and praise of “Beans and Franks.” (Franks are hot dogs for my many foreign visitors)
I have a staple Saturday Night Special and it is broiled hot wings and Mexican Rice. Drinks are optional but I prefer Tequila to put me in the mood for my favorite Saturday night meal. Saturday nights have always been special since I was a child when we always had a special family meal and my mother’s baked beans were one of our favorites. As a teenager Saturday night became Dance night at the Legion Home, with great local rock bands and many girls and guys looking for fun.
So my Saturday Night’s have always been special and still are. My entertainment for the evening is brought to me by Youtube. I especially enjoy their many free Great Westerns some made before I was born. My two cats are happy with their plain chopped cooked chicken wings. Life over 70 should be somewhat sedentary and comfortable for a good Saturday night. All that is missing is my Twin Flame sitting on my lap with her arms around me but, I hope to be with her later when I go to bed.
