Longevity comes with a million or more memories good, bad, and indifferent. Aging love is an amazing gift, but so harsh and horrible when one dies and the other lives. Panic passes and sorrow eventually leaves until it is triggered by a picture or memory. An aging mind must stay positive or it will parish in the fog of dementia or panic in the fright of a physical pain. I welcome age with each passing year as I now look forward to another and another, but only in happiness and joy of living, smiling daily to the beauty of nature and the peaceful companionship of my two cats, or the anticipation of a lover’s visit, or preparing a great meal. Good living is all in the aging mind, as each year we live is one more year of opportunity for joy and happiness as we create them in our mind, and a beautiful sunset as we pass on.
